Public Notice

As part of Government of India’s ‘Vande Bharat Mission’, the largest ever evacuation of stranded Indian nationals from countries across the world to India, the following special Air India flight has been scheduled from Germany, in addition to the Frankfurt – Delhi flights on June 5 and 7, 2020:

  • June 08, 2020 (Monday): AI-120 Frankfurt – Delhi
  1. During this phase of the Vande Bharat Mission, Indians stranded in other European countries who have registered with their local Indian Embassy and have valid Schengen visas will also be accommodated in the special Air India flights on June 7 and 8, 2020, besides those Indians who are stranded in Germany. Passengers will need to travel to Frankfurt Airport on their own and bear the cost of travel by these flights as well as for the mandatory quarantine facilities on arrival in India. It may be noted that persons from all Indian States may travel in these flights, subject to agreeing to certain conditions, such as completion of quarantine in the port of arrival, etc.
  2. Based on the information provided during registration with the local Indian Embassies in European countries, passengers for these two flights will be prioritized taking into consideration compelling reasons such as urgent medical cases, pregnant women, short-term visa holders, senior citizens, etc. as stated in the Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for the Movement of Stranded Indian Nationals dated May 24, 2020 (available at:

  1. Fares for these flights on June 7 and 8, 2020 are yet to be announced by Air India. Once the fares are announced, shortlisted passengers for the two flights would be informed by e-mail by the Embassy of India, Berlin. Those stranded Indian nationals who have already registered with us or with their respective Indian Embassies are not required to register again. Please direct all your queries to the Indian Embassy in your country.
