The 5th edition of GES 2019 is being organized by Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce&Industry, Government of India in partnership with the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 26th to 28th November 2019 at the Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
India has emerged as the fastest growing major economy in the world and in the view of global analysts, India’s leading position in economic growth is likely to continue for the next two-three decade. Needless to say, one of the major forces or key drivers of this growth is the Services Sector, which has been dubbed as the ‘sector of the current millennium’.
The GES 2018 was a huge success with participation from about 100 countries, 500 overseas delegates, over 600 exhibitors and more than 7000 structured B2B meetings. The upcoming GES 2019 will provide a plaform for forging sustained partnerships amongst countries in the 12 identified service sectors. These include IT & IteS, Tourism and Hospitality Services, Transport and Logistics Services, Financial Services,… The event will host exhibitions, focussed knowledge sessions and a large number of B2B, B2G and B2C meetings. A robust participation from Indian State Governments is also expected.
