'Remembering Gurudev'
During his visit to the city of Maribor in Slovenia on June 12, Ambassador Amit Narang paid respectful tributes at the bust of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
Installed in 2011 as part of celebrations of his 150th birth anniversary, the bust of Rabindranath Tagore is a testament to his status as an important link between India and Slovenia.
Known as a global icon of peace, tolerance and spiritual values, many of Gurudev Tagore's works have been translated into Slovene and he continues to shine as an inspiration today.
