Online celebrations of 72nd Republic Day of India

Dear friends,

India will be celebrating the 72nd Republic Day on 26 January 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and restrictions on public gatherings, the Republic Day of India will be celebrated on the Embassy's virtual platform.

The programme will start on 23 January 2021 at 1630 hrs with an online concert by Pt Shubhendra Rao & group, brought to you by MOC and ICCR, streaming at: https://youtu.be/Ptp11gtr8Ss.

In collaboration with NFDC, Republic Film Festival will be presented starting on 25 January 2021. The films in English subtitles will stream for free on NFDC’s platform until 31 January 2021: https://www.cinemasofindia.com/#catalog/16059/77906/celebrating-indias-republic-day. The magnificent Beating Retreat​ will officially denote the end of Republic Day festivities. It will be performed by the Army Bands on 29 January and the streaming will start at 1230 hrs (CET): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKUfyxyYZ7Y&feature=youtu.be
