9th session of Joint committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) between India and Slovenia

On 23 March 2021 India and Slovenia had a very fruitful 9th session of Joint Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) with participation of over 55 delegates from both sides representing wide range of sectors. India-Slovenia JCTEC in beginning of 2021 is significant as India launched #amrutmahotsav India@75 celebrations with assuming of roles in United Nations Security Council Quad and bricsindia2021 and re-initiated India EU BTIA talks and Slovenia completes 30 years of Statehood and takes EU Council Presidency in July 21.

The highlight of 9th India -Slovenia JCTEC were discussions on new areas of mutual interest : AI, IT, MSME, R&D for Industry and Agriculture, New and Renewable Energy, Green and Circular Economy, Ayurveda, AYUSH, dealing with Covid—19 and post COVID19 times, smart factories.

Co-chaired by Ambassador Iztok Grmek, DG, Department of Economic Diplomacy Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Ministrstvo za zunanje zadeve RS and Ms Nidhimani Tripathi, JS, Department of Commerce, GoI, India-Slovenia JCTEC, joined by Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to India Mr Marjan Cencen and Ambassador of India to Slovenia Ms Namrata S. Kumar brought together delegates from Finance, Power, Transport, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, Pharmaceuticals, S&T, Banking sectors.
