Emergency Certificate (EC)  

[To enable applicant to urgent return to India]

 

In case the existing passport is lost, damaged or stolen or is wrongly withheld by employer and the applicant needs to travel urgently, an Emergency Certificate (EC) may be issued if the consular officer is satisfied of the nature of urgency. An EC can only permit travel back to India.

 

Applicants are required to fill up Emergency Certificate Application form online at the following link: (https://portal3.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html).



Check-List of Documents:-

 

1. Print-out Emergency Certificate application needs to be signed on two designated places (on first page under the photograph and the last page of application form). All signatures in the application form should be signed with ballpoint pen of blue ink.

2. Attach 02 recent colour photographs with white background (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) (one paste on the designated place in the application form and another clip with the application form)

3. Self-attested copy of current Indian passport (Front and last page)

4. Copy of Slovenian Visa/Resident Card.
