1. Attestation of Power of Attorney (PoA/Affidavit for Civil/Property/Financial matter)

 

PoA/Affidavit can be either on stamp paper or on plain paper as per your requirement or as advised by your lawyer, and one set of the copy needs to be signed by the applicant before the Consular officer. Executant(s) of Affidavit are also required to affix one passport-size photograph on the last page/at the end of Affidavit near the place for his/her signature as an executant(s) and then make a photocopy of the Affidavit for retention by the Embassy.

Details of Documents required for Power of Attorney/Affidavit/Will/Gift Deed:

i. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy in person.

ii. Copy of Executant(s) applicants' Valid Passport(s) – front and back (Copy must be self-attested).

iii. Copy of Slovenian Residence card/Valid Visa (Self attested).

iv. Passport copies of two witnesses’ Valid passports with valid visa copies (Residence permit/Visa)

v. Power of Attorney with one passport-size photograph pasted on the last page of PoA near the place of Executant's signature

Note : For attestation related to Power of Attorney/Affidavit/ Will/Gift Deed, the applicant shall appear in person to submit their application. In the case of Joint Power of Attorney, all the deponents shall present themselves before the Consular officer of this Mission.

2. Attestation of Commercial Documents/Company Documents duly apostilled/legalized by the Slovenian Government.

The Embassy shall attest commercial/company documents only if the company in question is incorporated in Slovenia and if these documents are required to be presented before authorities in India.

Details of Document required

i. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy in person.

ii. A request letter for the service on the Company Letter Head with the seal of the company stamped on the Company Letter Head. The request letter should be duly signed by one of the Directors of the Company and should be accompanied by a copy of the incorporation certificate in respect of the company, legalized/Apostilled from the Slovenia Ministry of Justice or Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

iii. The document(s) to be attested in the original along with a self-attested photocopy of the original document(s). All commercial/company documents issued in Slovenian that require attestation should be duly legalized/Apostilled from the Slovenia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, individually.

iv. The commercial/company documents should be submitted along with the valid original passport and self-attested copies of the passport pages containing personal particulars of one of the Directors of the Company. If due to any reason, the original passport cannot be submitted, duly notarized copies of the passport pages containing personal particulars of one of the Directors of the Company should be submitted.

This service is rendered as per the requirements of an applicant who holds a valid Indian passport.

4. Other Miscellaneous attestation and issue of civil certificates(On the basis of Indian document)

 

This service is rendered as per the requirements of an applicant who holds a valid Indian passport.

5. Life Certificate for pension purposes or any other purposes

 

i. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy in person.

iv. Copy of the pension book (having name of the applicant)/bank documents of pension. Applicants applying for Life Certificate other than pension may provide reasons for the same.

6. Death Certificate / NOC for transportation of Dead Body/Ashes to India

 

a. If the next of kin/ relative(s)/ family member of the deceased wish to transport the dead body to India for funeral purposes, the Embassy issues a "No Objection Certificate" in this regard.

i. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy in person.

ii. Indian passport of the deceased.

iii. Letter from Public Health Office indicating "No Communicable disease".

vi. Embalming Certificate.

v. Name, address, telephone number, etc of the consignee.

vi. Flight details.

  • No Fee for Indian passport holder and it is issued same day

b. If the next of kin/ relative(s)/ family member etc. of the deceased wish to transport the ashes to India, the Embassy issues a "No Objection Certificate" in this regard.

7. Registration of Birth

 

It has been made mandatory by Government of India for registering online the birth of a child as an Indian citizen. A child born in Slovenia to be registered as an Indian citizen within one year of the child’s birth. Application for birth registration and fresh passport to be submitted together.

Important points

(a). A child born outside India on or after 03.12.2004 shall be a citizen of India by descent, if either of the parents (father or mother) is an Indian citizen at the time of birth of the child and the birth of the child has been registered with the concerned Indian Mission abroad within one year of the birth and the parents of the child have to submit a declaration that the child does not hold passport of another country. Approval of the Central Government is necessary in all such cases where the request for such registration is made after the expiry of the said period i.e. after one year.

(b) A child born abroad to Indian citizen(s) has to be first registered in the Mission as an Indian citizen before a passport is issued.

(c) Only those who are born in Slovenia is eligible for Birth registration for Indian Citizenship at Embassy of India – Ljubljana.

(d) The applicants are advised to carefully go through the provisions of the Citizenship Act, 1955 and the rules framed there under to determine their eligibility for Indian citizenship.

Procedure for online registration of birth 

1. Please visit https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in for registration of each child as an Indian Citizenship. Kindly select - (Registration of birth of a minor child at an Indian consulate Under Section 4(1) of the Citizenship Act, 1955) for this purpose.

2. The applicant shall take the print out of the online application form with MHA File number. The application along with the requisite supporting documents as mentioned below (both original and copies) is to be submitted to the Embassy of India, Ljubljana. The documents to be annexed are:

i. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized photograph (5 cm x 5 cm) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy.

ii. Copy of the birth certificate of the child issued by Slovenian authority along with English translation

iii. Copy of the Passports and Slovenian Residence permits of both the parents (self attested)

iv. Copy of the marriage certificate of the parent (self attested).

v. A declaration that the minor child does not hold the passport of any other country.

8. Marriage Registration

 

[Solemnization/Registration of marriage under Foreign Marriage Act, 1969]

Conditions:
At least one of the prospective bride or bridegroom must be an Indian National and a legal resident of Slovenia. Other one who is not an Indian National should submit a No objection certificate/Bachelorhood Certificate from the concerned authority declaring his/her marital status and willingness to marry an Indian National, duly attested by the concerned authority.

How to apply:

The bride and bride-groom, along-with the three witnesses, who are Indian Nationals with valid Visa status are required to be physically present and sign before the Consular Officer for solemnization/registration of the marriage.

For solemnization of marriage – All the scanned documents need to be submitted at cons.ljubljana@mea.gov.in. The notice of intended marriage will be put up on the Embassy notice board for a month, following which an in-person appointment in consultation with the Marriage officer will be given to the applicants.

Registration of Marriages under section 17 of Foreign Marriage Act, 1969  (already solemnized in Slovenia) – 

Visit the Embassy in person to register the marriage with the Embassy.

 

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:

(i). Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with one passport-sized joint photograph ( 8 cm x 8 cm ) on top and the right-hand side of the Form and submit to the Embassy.

(iii). Affidavit in the prescribed format by the parties of marriage:

Form -I (Notice for Intended Marriage)

Form -II (Declaration of Bridegroom and Bride for Intended Marriages)

Form -III (Sworn Affidavit for Intended Marriage)

(iv) Bachelorhood certificate which should be duly apostilled/attested from Ministry of External Affairs, India

(v) No objection Certificate (NOC) from parents. The NOC issued in India should be duly notarized and apostilled.

(vi) 1 joint colour photos of bride and bride groom (8 cm x 8 cm) and 3 passport size colour photos (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) of each, bride and bride groom.

(vii) Three witnesses (adult) are required to be present at the time of marriage with their Indian Passports and Slovenian Residence permits/Long Term Visa.

Note - Marriage has to be solemnized within six months from the date of notice of intention of marriage presented to the marriage officer failing which the entire procedure should be repeated if the parties intend to proceed with the marriage.

9. NRI Certificate

NRI certificate: Issued to Indian Passport holders (resident in Slovenia) for admission of their child in Indian Colleges/Universities under the NRI Quota or other specific purposes.

Documents Required:

i. a. Miscellaneous Service form duly signed with two passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) one on top and the right-hand side of the Form and another attached with application and submit it to the Embassy in person.

iii. Copy of Valid Indian passport and Slovenia Residence Card/Long Term Visa (Self attested)

iv.Self-attested copy of utility bill, Driving License, lease deed, etc., with the Slovenia address.

10. Sworn Affidavit for the issue of a passport a minor child residing in India

 

Sworn Affidavit for issuance of passport to a minor child residing in India Sworn Affidavit for issuance of passport to a minor child residing in India. This Affidavit is required to be submitted at the concerned Passport Office in India when either of the parents /both parents is/ are applying for his/her/ their child’s passport in India and the other parent/ both parents is/ are in Slovenia. Through this Affidavit,the parent (s) in Slovenia certifies/ certify that he/she/ they has/ have no objection for a passport being issued to his/her/ their minor child in India. For this service, applicants have to apply in Person only.

Requirements:
