The Government of India has launched the official mobile app “Indian Visa Su-Swagatam” to facilitate travel to India. This app is available for download on the Google Play Store (for Android users) and the App Store (for iOS users).
2. Through the app, users can access the following visa-related services:
a) Apply for Visa: - Regular Visa, e-Visa, and Visa on Arrival
b) e-FRRO Services: - Access online Foreigners Regional Registration Office (e-FRRO) services such a Visa extension, Visa conversion, Exit permits and other Other visa-related services in India
c) Status: - (i) Status of Visa applications, and (ii) Status of e-FRRO application
d) Notifications: - Receive alerts and advisories by Ministry of Home Affairs and Bureau of Immigration, including notifications on visa expiry.
e) Language Assistance: - Access multi-language support with signage and language converters.
f) Chatbot Support: - Use the built-in chatbot for application queries
g) Nearby Places: - Discover nearby services and attractions including -Tourist spots, Government agencies, Transportation, Entertainment, , Health services, Lodging and boarding facilities, etc.
